Avron Spiro III, Co-Investigator

Dr. Spiro is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology, and Research Scientist, Center for Health Quality, Outcomes and Economic Research, Boston University School of Public Health; Research Psychologist and Statistician, Normative Aging Study, VA Boston Healthcare System; Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Research and Information Center. Dr. Spiro is a psychologist and methodologist with over 25 years of experience in the design, analysis and application of self-reported measures for the study of health and development. For the past decade, Dr. Spiro has been collaborating with other CREEDD investigators in the study of health-related quality of life, bother generic and specific to oral health, ant its association with general health and personality.

With Dr. Jones, Dr. Spiro serves as co-investigator of the project, assuming responsibility for various aspects of scientific and administrative activities, and for coordination with other projects in the Center grant. Dr. Spiro also provides his methodologic expertise in the area of behavioral sciences to the Center grant as well.
